When it comes time to pack up the family and head out on your Walt Disney World vacation, there are a few items you shouldn’t bring to the parks if you want your trip to run smoothly. If you’re hoping for a magical, stress-free trip, it’s important to stay on-guard about what is allowed in the parks and what isn’t.
There are a few items you might think about packing for your trip but are actually banned from Disney Parks. While this list covers a few items, it’s important to double-check the Walt Disney World website before your trip if you’re questioning any of the items in your suitcase.
Wagons

A lot of families want to pack their wagons to pull their kids and all of their goodies around the parks, and while this might seem like a reasonable idea, wagons are banned from the parks. Unless you have a medical reason to need the wagon and clear it with Walt Disney World before the trip, your family won’t be able to bring your trusty wagon in.
Folding Chairs

As you think about how you want to experience the infamous parades and fireworks at the parks, you might think about grabbing some folding chairs to maximize your comfort during the show. But while this might fly for your local, hometown events, you won’t get into the parks with them. Be prepared to stand or sit on the ground, or reserve special dining reservations before your trip to ensure seats and the best view.
Alcohol

While all of the Disney Parks serve alcohol besides Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom, you can’t bring your own bottles into the park. Feel free to enjoy your store-bought alcohol in your hotel room, but just avoid bringing it to the parks.
Weapons or Sharp Objects

Disney parks have strict security measures in place for the safety of all guests and weapons or sharp objects of any kind, including pocket knives and scissors, are prohibited. It’s better to just leave these items at home or at your hotel to avoid any issues during security checks.
Portable Speakers

While you may have made the perfect Disney playlist before your vacation, blasting music from portable speakers is not allowed as it can disrupt the magical ambiance of the parks and disturb other guests. Embrace the immersive atmosphere of the parks by enjoying the sounds of Disney throughout the park. You can always listen to your music back at your accommodations.
Drones

As tempting as it may be to capture aerial footage of the parks, drones are not allowed within the premises of Walt Disney World. There are loads of beautiful photo spots that grabbing your drone for vacation might just be a waste of time.
Pets (Except Service Animals)

Pets are not permitted within the theme parks, with the exception of certified service animals. You might have dreams of your dog meeting Pluto, it’s important for you to make appropriate arrangements for your furry friends before heading to the parks for your vacation.
Costumes

You might have the most perfect costume for your Walt Disney World vacation, but unless you’re under the age of 14, you won’t be allowed to wear them into the parks. If you really want to show off your costume, try snagging a ticket for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party where your family-friendly costumes will be welcomed with open arms.
Glass Containers

For safety reasons, glass containers are not permitted within the parks, this includes glass water bottles as well. Before your trip, trade out the glass for a reusable plastic or metal water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Valuable or Irreplaceable Items

While your valuables are technically allowed in the parks, you might want to just leave them behind. Disney takes every precaution to ensure the safety of guests’ belongings, it’s best to leave valuable or irreplaceable items, such as expensive jewelry or sentimental heirlooms, at home. Enjoy peace of mind knowing that your most precious possessions are safe and secure.
